When you are introducing a child to the Germy Wormy, you can let the child wear one all day long, playing at coughing and sneezing into the Germy Wormy. It should then be disposed of. If you choose to have additional days of introduction please make sure they use a new Germy Wormy.
After the introduction period, when a child coughs or sneezes you can say "Let's give those germs to the Germy Wormy! He is sooo hungry" and put one on.
Children do not need to wear a Germy Wormy all day every day, only when they are coughing or sneezing or actively sick.

That all depends on how much the child is coughing and sneezing. If it is a lot, you might want to change it out more often. If there is visible mucus on the Germy Wormy it should be changed out so that it does not drip or get on anything else. Customers are reporting using 1 - 4 Germy Wormy's per day.

Germy Wormy is new and many will not know what it is. Children cough and sneeze everywhere and sometimes you need to take them out in public even when they are sick. When someone asks what it is, let them know it is there to teach your child how to cough and sneeze into their elbow so they don't spread germs to other people. Most people will feel good that you are doing everything you can to keep your child's germs away from them and will probably thank you!

Germy Wormy is not meant as a tool to allow sick children to stay in school. By all means, child care facilities should follow their normal procedures for determining when a child should stay home and when a child should go home from school. Germy Wormy can protect child care providers and the other children during the time they are determining if they should send a child home and when the parent picks up the child.
