Why is it important to teach children about
germs?
Germs spread quickly, and can affect anyone
they come in contact with. Even if a
cold germ only makes you a little bit sick, the person you spread it to may get
worse. A sick child means time off work,
co-pays, and cold medications. It’s best
to stop the germs before they spread.
What can I do to teach children to stop
spreading germs?
First show them the Germy Wormy DVD and
picture book! Also, the CDC recommends
washing hands often with warm water and soap, coughing and sneezing into your
sleeve or a tissue, and discarding the tissue immediately after use. Staying home when sick, and refraining from
sharing drinks and foods are also highly recommended.
Why should I purchase the Germy Wormy
products?
Germy Wormy is a fun and educational way to
successfully teach children about germs—what germs do, and how to prevent
them. Germy Wormy advocates all the CDC
recommendations in a fun and engaging way.
Germy Wormy’s aim is to keep kids germ-free and healthy!
I am a childcare provider/teacher. Is the Germy Wormy line right for me?
Yes! Germy Wormy offers teaching tools that benefit
all children, especially those in a community setting. When illness hits a childcare center or
school, it spreads like wildfire. Germy
Wormy helps lessen that spread immensely.
As children learn the “rules” of germ prevention, the germs get stopped
and washed down the drain sooner than ever.
How is the Germy Wormy sleeve helpful?
The Germy Wormy sleeve is there to help kids
get used to coughing and sneezing into their elbow. It serves as a reminded that this is where
cold germs need to go!
What types of sleeves are available?
Currently only the disposable sleeve is
available.
I use Germy Wormy at home. How can I introduce the Germy Wormy line to
my child’s daycare/school?
Included with our order is a letter for
providers. You can pass this letter
along, as well as guide your child care provider to Germy Wormy’s website, www.germywormy.com.
